It's silence.
No kids.
My Uncle Herb and Aunt Mare took the kids last night.
I just woke up out of habit, I'm going back to bed.

enjoy.
Wow... The Wife takes care of bath most of the time. Relatives to take the kids away for half-days at a time. I *know* you don't cook. Life must be rough. Enjoy your bon-bons and time in front of the t.v.
Seems like you are getting off easy here...
Dave - They took the kids over night. It's true though, cooking and baths are the only thing a parent has to do. I've got it real easy.
Dirty - My brother and I would spend the night at various relatives and friends houses growing up. It expands their experiences and education.
I'm having a vicarious moment reading this. It can be wonderful when the children are away.
The bit in our home is that Uncle Phil has the family away so that he can cook up a batch of "Suburban Moonshine" aka Crystal Meth.
That bit seems less funny in print, but thats the bit this morning.
Lucky you. Can you take my kids sometime? Just no TV, though.
Think Herb is gonna try and convert them?
Flan - It is nice, but strange. you feel like the last person on earth when the house is so empty.
Dave - Almost done, the secret ingredient is love.
Grant - The more the merrier. In all seriousness, a playdate would be fun.
Dave - You know he'll try.
Funny story about my Uncle Herb, a Jew that married into a large Irish Catholic family, who never tires of antagonizing them, usually through us. When I was a kid, he had me for the weekend, much like my kids this weekend. He took me out to eat, and the waitress came up and said, "What a cute Irish boy." I proclaimed, loudly, "I'm not Irish! I'm Jewish!"
Grandma O'Donnell loved that.
Lulu - I did.
