Speedy Delivery.

The mail usually gets to me house around 4 in the afternoon. Sometimes as late as 5 or 6 in the evening.

At 7:30 this morning as I made my way, bleary eyed, downstairs, squinting at the bright sun coming though my window, I noticed a full mailbox.

Wow. Our mailman wants to get the weekend started.

Or, yesterdays mail came at an impossibly late time and we just didn't notice.

I'll keep you informed.

(Administrators note: It would seem that it was yesterdays mail. We got more mail at around 3:30, right before I went to work. Our TIME magazine was there. This made me happy.)

It had to be yesterday's mail. The mail man is still in the post office sorting the mail at 7:30 a.m. I know these things.

This is the up-to-the-minute information I have come to know and love about your blog.

P.S. My mailwomen yelled at me once.

Valerie - It was the day befores mail.

Dave - Maybe....Or maybe I'm so alive, I just blew your mind.

Chaylene - I need one of those news tickers to scroll across the bottom of my page.

Why did she yell at you?

She yelled at me in note form. I failed to remove the ice from my front steps in a timely fashion last winter.

I thought maybe she liked a challenge. I was wrong.

Some days our mail doesn't come at all. And then the next day some dude who's not in a mail carrier uniform brings it. I think it's our mail lady's boyfriend or something.

Happy about Time Magazine? Is it because they named You the person of the year?

When I lived in the city, I once got a package with about three months of mail in it. It was crazy.

Our letter carrier also stole our subscription to Penthouse. Jerk!

Don't piss off your letter carrier. He may go postal.

Chaylene - Clearly, your mail carrier needs to toughen up.

Dave - Chicago mail is often rated at the bottom of the country in quality isn't it?

Flan - I have a man-crush on Joe Klein.

Frank - That bastard.

Grant - Take it back.

here in oz the mail comes basically whenever they feel like delivering it. often not at all. no mail on saturdays (or sundays), and even the big offices have to go pick up their mail at po boxes down the street. crazy aussies!

do you give your mail-person cookies or money at christmas?
