Phil's Server Tip of the Day.

To my customer on Saturday night who ordered a Patty Melt without the bread,

A Patty Melt with no bread isn't a Patty Melt.  It's just a patty with cheese.

Yours,

Server Phil

From customer who you've waited for years and should already know: "Uh, yeah, could I get that dressing on the side?"
Server: "Um, we always have the dressing on the side."

Customer: "Do you have any drink specials?"
Server (thinking, but not saying it out loud): *Okay, why don't you just come out and say that you're cheap?*

Actual quote form last night: "I'll have an Iced Tea. And can I get lots of ice in that?"

"Can I get that between medium and medium rare?"

Server: "Would you like soup or salad with that?"
Customer: "I'll take the salad."
Server: "Would you like Balsamic Vinegarette, Blue Cheese, Thousand Island, Caesar, Creamy Oil and Vinegar Dijon or Ranch dressing?"
Customer: "I'll take the French dressing."
Server: "Um, we don't have French dressing. That wasn't one of the ones I mentioned."
Customer: "What?"

Customer: "Can I get 1/2 fries and 1/2 onion rings as my side?"
Server: "No."
