1991 was a very good year, I had graduated from high school, the Bulls won their first Championship and I went off to college. Not only that, but a lot of very good albums were released that year.
Maybe the best and most influential album that came out in '91 was Nirvana's Nevermind.
Not only did it rock, it also had one of the greatest covers of any album ever.
Oh, yes. We all remember that little baby, swimming so happily, never knowing if he caught that dollar bill or not.
Well, last Monday, that baby turned 16.
Here he is now, entertain him.
Now let's rock likes 1991 again.

Looks like every stoner kid has looked since 1974.
It's cool to see that kid. Every time I've seen that cover I've wondered about him.
1991 was a good year for me too, I became legal. If I had known you, I would have bought you some beer.
Lulu - Probably before '74, too.
Elizabeth - I appreciate that, and you can still buy me a beer if ever we meet.
That was a great record. I have a great memory of dancing to that song on a packed dance floor in a Wicker Park club back around 1992.
Cobain committed suicide right around the time my son was born-- I was already pretty emotional then. I took it hard-- it was a long time before I could listen to Nirvana again.
Wait. What band was this?
You're on!
Jeez. Perhaps he and Macaulay Culkin should have some sort of Thunderdome-style cage match.
I wonder if he even knows how great that album is or if he is too busy listening to My Chemical Romance and Fallout Boy to care.
Geo - I'd buy that for a dollar!
Natalie - He said some nice things in his interview, but I doubt he really understands the albums impact. Probably in the way we appreciate, say, 'Sergeant Pepper,' but we weren't there when it hit like a bomb. Plus, he's a part of the greatness of that album, which is pretty cool.
I was a cute baby. Why didn't I get to be on any album covers?
Cruelty-free mommy - Another mistake from your youth that you can correct with your son. :)
That kid's got to be hung like a horse...
